Workwear for rainy days - tips for protection against rain and moisture.
HOW SHOULD I DRESS FOR RAINY WORKING DAYS?
Working outdoors in the rain requires the right setup to keep you dry and comfortable all day. With the right workwear, you can keep performing without interruption, no matter what the weather decides to do.

WHAT MAKES GOOD RAINWEAR?
Work rainwear should not only be waterproof. It also needs to be durable, practical and comfortable to wear. Here are a few key features to look for:
- Waterproofness – check the water column rating. For workwear, at least 10,000 mm is recommended.
- Breathability – choose materials with good ventilation to help prevent you from getting damp from the inside.
- Durability – rainwear made from hardwearing materials such as polyester or PU-coated fabric is ideal for tough use.
HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT RAINWEAR?
- Adapt it to your work. Are you constantly moving? Look for flexible rain trousers with reinforcements.
- Layering. Combine rainwear with a good layering system for the best comfort.
- Safety. In rainy and dark working environments, hi-vis garments with reflective details are essential.
- Material. Waterproof and breathable materials such as GORE-TEX® or PU-coated polyester help keep you dry without making you too warm.
- Fit. Choose garments with adjustable features for comfort, movement and a secure fit.
- Seams and zips. Taped seams and water-repellent zips are important for keeping moisture out.
ADDITIONAL RAIN PROTECTION
- Hood or hat: protects the head and helps keep your vision clear.
- Waterproof gloves: keep your hands dry and warm.
- Footwear: combine with slip-resistant, waterproof safety shoes or boots.
COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT RAINWEAR
How do I clean and maintain my rainwear?
Follow the washing instructions carefully and wash regularly, often at lower temperatures and without fabric softener, to help maintain waterproofness and material performance.
What is the difference between a rain set and a shell set?
A rain set is fully waterproof but may have limited breathability, while a shell set often combines waterproof protection with better ventilation.
Can rainwear be used during high physical activity?
Yes. Choose breathable rainwear to reduce sweat build-up and improve comfort during active work.

THE THREE LEVELS OF RAINFIGHTERS

LEVEL 1 – FOR TOUGH CONDITIONS
LEVEL 1 is basic models in a pliable and lightweight fabric for those with jobs that require a good range of motion and ease in putting on and taking off the garments as needed.
The jackets feature smart functions such as a detachable hood, easily accessible pockets, and storm closure to keep out the wetness. They have a two-way zipper that extends all the way up into the collar and a detachable ID pocket on one of the jacket pockets.
The trousers have an elastic band and drawstring at the waist. They have adjustable bottom ends and the legs are wide enough for easily putting on and taking off boots/shoes.

LEVEL 2 – FOR TOUGHER CONDITIONS
LEVEL 2 is for those who need to work in more durable garments throughout the working day.
The features are enhanced on this level with breathable fabrics and the jackets have a detachable hood as well as neoprene wristlets that retain body heat even when wet. The collars are in fleece on the inside for good comfort and the sleeves are adjustable.
The trousers have detachable braces and practical openings for the possibility to hang out the nail pockets. They provide a good fit with an elastic waistband and opening wedges at the leg ends with buttons for easily putting on and taking off the trouser with the boots/shoes on.

LEVEL 3 – FOR TOUGHEST CONDITIONS
LEVEL 3 is for those who need extremely durable fabrics when performing tasks in tough environments.
The jacket in LEVEL3 has otherwise the same functions as Level 2 – they feature breathable fabrics and the jacket has a detachable hood as well as neoprene cuff that retain body heat even when wet. The collars are in fleece on the inside for good comfort and the sleeves are adjustable.
High vis rain trousers with extremely durable material with welded seams and adjustable braces and waistline with buttons. The leg bottom is modifiable with buttons to easily put on and off boots.
