It was in 2016 when we at Blåkläder first opened the doors to female test pilots with a mission: to revolutionize our women’s collection. The response was not only overwhelming – it was a force to be reckoned with. We were guided by real industry experts – those who wear our workwear and work in them every day. Since then, a lot has happened. Our women’s range has grown exponentially and now encompasses the full spectrum of Blåkläder’s high-quality workwear – largely thanks to the invaluable contributions and feedback from our test pilots.

Hello Annelie, our very first test pilot!
You were one of the first women to apply to become a test pilot in 2016. Can you share your experiences from that time?
Absolutely! I was inspired by this initiative, and I still believe it’s an excellent way to develop products. Working closely with those who actually use the clothes is a smart strategy, and I found it very rewarding to be part of the industry’s development.
Would you have liked to connect with other test pilots or female colleagues?
At the time, I was the only woman at my workplace and often missed having a female colleague to discuss things with, both regarding the fit of my work pants and other work-related issues. I believe it can create many positive effects to allow the test pilots to connect with each other.

Experts come together here to shape the future of workwear. But it’s not just that; it’s also a platform where test pilots can network and share their experiences.
